About AusCalc

Our Mission
Welcome to AusCalc, your online destination for free, private, and precise Australian financial calculators. Crafted specifically for sole traders, freelancers, contractors, and small business owners, our ultimate mission is to cut through the complexity of the Australian tax system and provide instant financial clarity.
Built by a business owner, not a bank
Rob
Founder, AusCalc · Small-business owner, Australia
AusCalc is run by Rob, a small-business owner based in Australia. Like every sole trader, he’s sat at the kitchen table at BAS time trying to work out what the quarter actually owes, juggling ATO tables, a spreadsheet, and a calculator that didn’t know the difference between 2024-25 and 2025-26 rates. The tools that existed were either out of date, buried in ads before they showed a number, or wanted an email address just to do basic arithmetic.
So we built the thing we wanted to use: calculators that load instantly, use the current ATO rates (and next year’s, when they’re legislated), and never ask who you are. AusCalc is funded by clearly-marked advertising and partner offers, never by selling your data, because we never have it. If something looks wrong or you want a calculator we don’t have yet, contact us. We read everything.
Why We Built AusCalc
AusCalc was founded on the belief that financial planning tools should be powerful, fast, and entirely private. We do not require signups, memberships, usernames, or email addresses to use our suite. True to our privacy-first philosophy, all calculations run client-side locally and securely within your own web browser.
Your private inputs are never transmitted to our servers, stored, or harvested. You can model your personal income taxes, GST obligations, business structures, and home loan repayments with absolute peace of mind.
Always ATO-Aligned & Keep-Current
To maintain professional-grade precision, we obsessively keep our calculations aligned with current Australian Taxation Office (ATO) legislation. All tax models are fully updated for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 financial years, including the 16% to 15% bracket cut taking effect on 1 July 2026. Worth $268 per year for every taxpayer earning above $45,000. Our core algorithms accurately apply the legislated marginal tax brackets, the updated Medicare levy, indexation thresholds for Higher Education Loan Program (HELP/HECS) debts, and the statutory 12.0% Superannuation Guarantee employer rate.
Legal Status
Please note that while our calculators are engineered to align with current regulations, AusCalc provides general educational estimates only. The outputs do not constitute personal financial, tax, or legal advice. AusCalc is not a registered tax agent, certified public accountant, or registered financial adviser. Before lodging your tax returns or making permanent financial commitments, we strongly recommend consulting a registered tax agent.
